Traditional Wedding With A Twist and A Grand Champagne Ball Gown

Timing, attention to detail, and a lot of love, is what made this magical Sydney wedding of Daniella and Gabriel possible.

Daniella had the day planned down to the minute, naming herself as one of those “OCD brides.” She chose to have the ceremony in the afternoon, so she could enjoy the morning with her bridal party and get that extra sleep in.

“It was 9am, and I was drinking tea with my bridesmaids waiting for my turn. Absolute perfection if you ask me. Nena my hair stylist and Caroline my makeup artist made the day so easy and such a breeze.”

Her breath-taking dress from Divinity Bridal, which is owned by her Mother, was a “dream come true.”

“Although I am very traditional, my dress colour wasn’t. I wanted to do something different to what I was constantly seeing on social media. A big skirt was ALWAYS what I wanted, the bigger, the better! I asked my mum to make the train longer and to tie it all in with a cathedral veil.”

The couple was wedded at St Nicholas Orthodox Church in Punchbowl. Ride and Groom transported the newlyweds to Callan Park for their bridal shoot with Siempre Photography.

“With the outstanding talent of Siempre Photography and Cinemotive videographers we were done in 45 minutes and off to the reception we went.”

At the reception, Daniella and Gabriel incorporated quirky elements to keep their guest entertained. The first was the ‘Find Your Face To Find Your Place’ seating chart, which was designed by Daniella’s cousin. There were also performances from Cdarz Entertainment and Jacob Hacklany, a dry ice curtain by Xtreme Fireworks, and even a magician! The courtesy didn’t stop there with personalised Havaianas and party props handed out to guests to keep them comfortable and dancing.

“Guests were walking around the oversized glasses, flower necklaces and glow ring on their fingers. It was hilarious and brought everyone onto the dance floor.”

And final words of advice from the bride who pulled off this magnificent wedding?

“Brides need to just be organised for the sake of their own stress levels, but make sure you make it true to you and enjoy the process. It is a beautiful day, but marriage is even more fun and beautiful! Don’t sweat the small stuff, in the end, it won’t even matter.”
